I was requested to create a dress for a client who was celebrating a special phase of her pregnancy in Second Life. Using a basemesh model with a pregnancy belly, I was able to model more precisely since I had a clear base for the shape of the dress.

The folds of the dress presented an interesting level of difficulty, but nothing I couldn’t overcome. The modeling process went smoothly, and the client was very satisfied with the result. During retopology, it was necessary to slightly increase the mesh density (without going overboard), as clients generally want to maintain the contours of their pieces and avoid that typical square look of low poly.

In the texturing phase, we found an appealing look for the client, with a low level of transparency in the fabric, around 15-20%.
In the end, we achieved an excellent visual result and a very satisfied client with her piece!
